Pet therapy is beneficial to both humans and dogs. This type of training requires patience, understanding, and consistency.
If you’d like to register your dog to become a therapy animal, contact White Star Dog Training. Our therapy dog trainer will partner with you to prepare your canine as a possible therapy dog. Please keep in mind these dogs must pass a multitude of tests in order to qualify as a therapy dog.
If your pet passes, you can work with Colleen on your next steps which include a variety of options on where to take your dog for visitations. Also available through this class is Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Advanced.
Therapy Dogs International
is a volunteer organization that regulates, tests and registers therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers so they can visit hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions that may request them.
