Call Us
Approximately 20 years ago her mother read an article about International Therapy Dogs and decided that she wanted one. So Colleen found and trained a Belgian Shepherd named Goliath. He was tested and evaluated. Goliath became a therapy dog registered with Therapy Dogs International. It was through the training of this dog and his interaction with his owner Mrs.” O" and others that led Colleen to realize what her dream job would be- "Training dogs”.

Colleen’s dream has come true,  she has obtained a career diploma as a trainer/instructor in professional dog training. She belongs to the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and is pending the exam CPDT-KA.

Colleen has recently established a local chapter of Therapy Dogs International and does training to prepare dogs for the TDI test and evaluation.

White Star Staff works with the owners to understand each pet and their individual personalities. We all understand that dogs, just like humans have unique personalities. Our goal is to bring out the best results from that personality. However an important part of the process, is to encourage our human friends to maintain a consistent training structure for their canine kids.
